Vince Halfhide
Guitarist and singer-songwriter Vince Halfhide is a long-time fixture on the Ottawa blues and roots scene. With over four decades in the music business, he has been lead guitar for blues/reggae band Heaven's Radio, Sneezy Watters, The Toasted Westerns, The Jivewires, Andrea (Karam) And The Fun Guys, The Mighty Popo. He's been called the "ultimate side-man" by his musical colleagues.
As a member of The Mighty Popo, Vince received a 2007 Canadian Folk Music Award – Best Group, World Music for the CD Muhazi.
In concert, Vince will step out and play and sing classic blues tunes as well as original songs, accompanying himself primarily on acoustic guitar, electric guitar and Dobro.
